Resource Centre

Library/Resource Centre

Situated at the geographical heart of the College, the Library/Resource Centre provides a welcoming and comfortable learning and recreational space for both students and staff. Students fill the Library every recess and lunchtime taking the opportunity to use the resources and computers to complete work requirements or to relax with a book or magazine, challenge friends to a game of chess or play games on one of the computers.

We provide a diverse collection of print materials, electronic resources, computers and multimedia equipment, to assist and complement the learning experience of each student. Our friendly library team is highly qualified and experienced in the areas of information literacy and children’s and youth literature and on hand throughout the day and before and after school to assist students with their learning and recreational reading needs, from locating appropriate and relevant information to choosing just the right book to capture the imagination.

Students and staff are encouraged to play an active part in the selection of materials bought for the College, ensuring the relevancy, currency and appeal of the expanding collection of fiction and information books.

The Centre is well equipped with 25 computers for study and recreational use, a separate computer classroom with multimedia facilities and a study/class space with electronic whiteboard. A roomy and comfortable reading area, housing a vibrant collection of current fiction, biographies, magazines, graphic novels, comics, audio books and picture books completes the facility.
