COURSE DESCRIPTION

Any instrument, any skill level, come and learn how to jump onto any stage, into any song, and jam along! The introduction of Jazz and Blues brought with it the ability to improvise and solo with virtually any instrument. If you already play an instrument, you will continue to develop your skills with continued practice and performance with an emphasis on blues music. If you don’t play an instrument yet, this is your chance to learn! By the end of the course, you will be able to perform your own improvisations over blues music on a piano/keyboard.

You’ll start by watching performances from the last few years then go back in time to the emergence of R&B, to the globalisation of Pop, to the age of Rock and Roll, all the way back to the turn of the 20th Century and find out where it all came from. If you want to know where modern day music originated, and how to play it, then come and find out about the Blue Devil.
